Traci’s debut album Greener on This Side, containing twelve original tracks, features seasoned musicians and local talent alongside her driving vocals.
Songs such as “Please Believe Me”, “Down and Out” and “I Wanna Go To Heaven” are easy crowd-pleasers and in the words of bass guitarist, Scott Spray, premier bass player for Johnny Winters, “make you wanna dance.” R&B guitarist, Phil Hamilton, who toured with such legends as Luther Vandross and Roberta Flack, nails guitar solos on “Any Longer” and “Beauty for Ashes.” The album also features, local talent and edge from lead guitarist, Jean Sandoval. Pocket grooves by Sean Moffitt and amazing jazz infused piano solos by Nick Bariluk, that often serve as a second voice, musically drive this debut. The final track, “Star,” is a piano/vocal solo that comes straight from the heart.
“The album contains a lot of personal experience and growth. Its’ who I am, who I’m created to be, but it is so accessible to all of us. The overall feel is very upbeat, but there’s a lot of hard lessons in there. The grass isn’t greener on the other side.
